For over 75 years, beginning with "barnstormers" and progressing to today's highly skilled professionals, Air Shows have been conducted, by and large, in association with airport management.  During the last few years, two significant factors have emerged which effectively preclude continuation of the casual approach to Air Show consulting and support services, which has existed in the past.  One of these is the emergence of highly sophisticated airframes.  The other factor is compliance with government safety and procedural regulations, as these Air Shows are, more and more, conducted over heavily populated areas and in congested airspace.  Virtually every Air Show sponsor experiences the same problems.

What ground support must be provided? Where is it available? What Federal, State and Local rules and regulations must be complied with and what are the steps that must be taken to provide for spectator and performer safety? The list is endless.

The Air Show industry is rapidly approaching maturity and becomes more demanding as equipment evolves and performer skills approach perfection.
