Rick developed the first onsite sponsorship program in the air show industry. He designed, built and operated a one of a kind special events vehicle for Molson Breweries used at Air Shows and CART races. His company AER presently operates state of the art mobile sound and air operation control towers at air shows throughout North America. In 1992 he produced one of the first live TV air show productions. He has featured major musical artists as part of the shows.

Rick has produced shows on busy airline airports, small uncontrolled airports, over major rivers, on military bases, beach front shows, over the ocean, a dragstrip and even once built an air show site clearing and building parking lots, crowd areas and even the flightline for a major jet team. He installed the first temporary arresting gear at a civilian site.

As a consultant to Walt Disney World he organized a flyover down Main Street of the US Navy Blue Angels and Canadian Forces Snowbirds in trail for national TV as part of Walt Disney Worlds 20th Anniversary.
