Interfacing with the Federal Aviation Administration has become increasingly complex over the past few years as compliance and procedural rules and regulations from not only Flight Standards and Air Traffic as in the past , but now also the Airports Division continue to grow as air shows are, more and more, conducted over heavily populated areas and in congested airspace.
 

The September 11 tragedy has brought increasing security needs and much more temporarily restricted airspace and tighter security measures on airports in general. It has brought the need for the air show to comply with new demands not seen in the past from government agencies such as the TSA and FBI.

Communication and air traffic control trained personnel well versed in the intricacies of the air show operation are essential to the safe, efficient and entertaining air show performance. AER will ensure all your FAA and DOD filing, requests and waivers are done in a timely, organized and professional manner.

The other essential element of a safe and professional air operation at your air show is the proper equipment and atmosphere to enable these trained personnel to do the job to the best of their ability. Aerial Entertainment Resources  supplies this need with custom built mobile control towers.

The inside of the mobile control towers operation cab is designed as a VHF Tower and is equipped with four VHF and a UHF transceiver. It also has dual altimeters,a wind speed and direction system and an Air Traffic Control (ATC) signal light gun with phone lines to the narrator's deck and the sound technician's mixing board.

In addition to the climate controlled cab, the airboss also has the liberty of working outside on the deck with 3 additional VHF transceivers. AER as the further capability to set up a complete remote air operations area with VHF and UHF capability almost anywhere needed. The tower also carries a professional rain gauge for those shows not having official weather sites to confirm their rain insurance.
